I've finally gotten around to figuring out how to set up my blogroll. not that it is hard, more that I am lazy. anyway, a quick note about the blogroll- the order is almost completely random, and should not be taken as an endorsement of any link at the expense of others. rather these links are the bloggers/writers whose opinions and thoughts I find to be most usefull. By and large the blogs are politically oriented, and by and large, the writers are those who are willing to think with nuance and that little seed of doubt that suggests that they might be wrong, and that they for sure are willing to consider their opinions in light of the facts. I'm willing to expand my horizons- especially towards websites that address faith issues- does anyone have any suggestions?

One of the most interesting blogs about faith issues I read, or try to read, on a regular basis is Fred Clark's Slacktivist. His series on the Left Behind books is one of the most intelligent dissections of crazy Christian millenniarism I've read. He also had some nice recent posts on Christianity and sexuality.
I see you put Andrew Sullivan in your link list. I'd be interested to read some of your thougts about his recent series on 'Christianists'. I think he identifies an important problem with contemporary American religion, but that's mostly my outsider perspective.
If I run across any more faith issue weblogs I'll pass them along.

I'll try to address the Christianist issue in a whole post- but in a nutshell I think that on this issue he is completely right, and has done an excellent job of identifying the difference between being a practicing Christian, and a narrow minded theocrat.
